Keppni hófst í dag, föstudaginn 1. febrúar, í listhlaupi á skautum á Reykjavík International Games 2019. Interclub keppnin fór fram í dag þar sem voru sjö keppendur í flokki Chicks og tíu keppendur í flokki Cubs. Fengu þessir keppendur viðurkenningu fyrir þátttöku og verðlaunapening. Þá kepptu keppendur í Basic Novice flokki stúlkna og efst varð Sofia Proietti frá Ítalíu, í öðru sæti varð Ella Hawks frá Suður-Afríku og í þriðja sæti varð Kristín Jökulsdóttir úr SR.
Keppni fór svo fram í flokknum Intermediate Ladies. Fyrsta sætið þar hlaut Hildur Bjarkadóttir frá Fjölni, önnur varð Berglind Óðinsdóttir og sú þriðja varð Sólbrún Erna Víkingsdóttir einnig báðar úr Fjölni. Því næst var keppt í flokki Intermediate Novice stúlkna og þar bar hin ítalska Chiara Fiori sigur úr bítum en önnur varð Daniella McCormick frá Bretlandi og þriðja var Edda Steinþórsdóttir SR. Þar með lauk Interclub keppninni sem var öll hin glæsilegasta og stóðu allir keppendur sig með prýði.
Eftir að skautakeppnin á RIG var formlega sett, kepptu Advanced Novice stúlkur í skylduæfingum og voru 18 stúlkur mættar til leiks frá sjö löndum. Eftir skylduæfingarnar er staðan sú að efst er Anna Bodrone frá Ítalíu, önnur er Jeanne Loez frá Frakklandi, þriðja er Júlía Rós Viðarsdóttir frá Íslandi, þá Eveliina Alaranta frá Finnlandi og fimmta er Herdís Heiða Jing Guðjohnsen frá Íslandi.
Keppni heldur áfram á morgun, laugardag kl.13:00 og má eiga von á spennandi skautakeppni.

Today, Friday February 1st, The Reykjavik International Games Figure Skating Competition 2019 began. We started with the Interclub competition. In Chicks there where seven competitors and ten competitors in Cubs. Those competitors got a diploma for participation and a medal.
Next up where Basic Novice Girls. In first place was Sofia Proietti from Pattinatori Artistico Torino, in second place was Ella Hawks from South African Figure Skating Association and third was Kristín Jökulsdóttir from Skautafélag Reykjavíkur.
Intermediate Ladies competed next. In first place was Hildur Bjarkadóttir from Fjölnir, second was Berglind Óðinsdóttir from Fjölnir and in third place was Sólbrún Erna Víkingsdóttir also from Fjölnir.
Last group to compete in the Interclub competition was Intermediate Novice Girls. In first place was Chiara Fiori from Pattinatori Artistico Torino, second was Daniella McCormick from Kyle Figure Skating Club and third was Edda Steinþórsdóttir from Skautafélag Reykjavíkur.
It was a great competition and all competitors showed great sportmanship and beautiful skating.
In the Opening ceremony the RIG ISU competition was officially open. Today Advanced Novice Girls competed with their short program. 18 girls competed from seven different countries. After the short program Anna Bodrone from Italy is in the lead, second is Jeanne Loez from France and third is Júlía Rós Viðarsdóttir from Iceland. Right behind them are Eveliina Alaranta from Finland and Herdís Heiða Jing Guðjohnsen from Iceland.
Competition continunes tomorrow, Saturday at 13:00, and we are expecting an exciting competition.
